A Visit to Phi Phi in Thailand

I went to Phi Phi in Thailand, and I have regrets! I should have taken the longtail boat tour around Phi Phi. I simply walked around the island, and although it was cool to see all the shops and see the different beaches on Phi Phi, I would have had the opportunity to capture the crystal clear water had I went on the Maya Bay boat tour.
I didn’t go, mainly because of the language barrier that I was having with one of the drivers. I thought that he said the trip would take 70 minutes to get to the island and back, but I think that he meant to say that the total trip was 70 minutes. I didn’t have much time, because I took a day trip to Phi Phi. I wanted to make sure that I came back in take to make the trip back to Koh Lanta. The next time that I go to Thailand, and there will be a next time, I am going to take a boat tour around Phi Phi. I am also going to go snorkeling. Anyway, here is a look at Phi Phi in Thailand!

We have been to Thailand many times, but not in the past 10 years. This time we are traveling with 3 children (6-13). Has anyone traveled with children to Phi Phi or Phuket? Any advice or concerns?
It gets really hot in both. I met a new friend who was traveling with her daughter. She said that her daughter kept complaining about all of the walking. She was young, about 4 or 5, though. I saw a lot of kids and families in Koh Lanta; Phi Phi and Phuket had more young singles and backpackers. Most of the activities revolve around snorkeling, but the kids love playing in the water on the beach. Bring plenty of sunblock and mosquito repellent.
I traveled to Thailand in February. It was much hotter than where I am from Toronto, Ontario. I had a wonderful time. The culture was like nothing I had ever seen before.
